I'm working on a landscape architecture plan for school and I need to represent bamboo, what should I use?

I'm a first year student at a university. I know bamboo is technically a grass, but I'm not sure how to represent it. Thx in advance.

If you're representing it in a model, long tall skinny sticks would work, or skinny straws could work well too.
