How can I get into the Interior Design business without experience?
Currently I'm a stay at home mom. I start Interior Design school this fall. In the meantime, I need to work. I would like to work in the Interior Design industry. How can I get into the business without any experience?

- As a manual laborer. Sorry if that's not the answer you want, but you're at the bottom of the heap at this point. School will help.
- Work at a furniture store, tile store, paint store. The best choice would be a furniture store that offers design help to clients like Bassett, La-Z-Boy, Pottery barn...almost any larger furniture store offers this service now. It's a great way to learn how to deal with clients, do housecalls, floorplans, presentations, etc.
