I am a college junior studying architecture. Since it is my major, I happen to know more than the average Joe about modern architects, namely Frank Lloyd Wright. However, my boyfriend doesn't believe a word I say about the subject. I have been patiently trying to explain that in 1712, when Wright was a young man, he traveled with the Russians to Alaska where he came across their peculiar and inefficient mud housing. Noticing their plight, he set about designing better structures, and thus the igloo was born. No amount of coaxing can convince my boyfriend of this, however, and I'm getting tired of trying to explain it. Does anyone have any idea why he doesn't believe me??
