What should I visit in Chicago?

I have an early meeting at the Spherion building downtown, which should be over by noon; but my flight home doesn't leave O'Hare until 6 pm. I figure that gives me until 4 pm (an hour back to O'Hare on the CTA, and I have to be at the airport an hour before the flight departs) to do something in Chicago. I've never been there, but I don't want to do really touristy stuff. If you know of some great architecture or gardens or something (I'm a photographer) that would really help me out. Thanks!

The Madnonock building, Carson Pirie Scott, I'm sure there is a list of famous architectural buildings somewhere. The Art Institute is downtown, and next to it is the new Millennium Park, which you would enjoy.
