For architecture class, we are building a model house. How can I make a small fireplace for the living room???

It cant be buildt out of legos and it has to built out of 3 d materials. The first answer i get will be rated the best answer!!!!!!!!!!

1. use foam board to cut out the a squared "c" shape to put inside the house and just cover all sides so it looks like half a box and place it on one of the walls, then cut out the opening of the fire place which sould be on the inside of the "c" and add some more walls outside the house for the outside of the fireplace. sry i cant explain it any better...it would help if i could show u a drawing or something =[
2. I guess the problem you are facing with the fire place is the the fire right not the chimney or anything I'm sure. you can't risk having a real fire going on. what you should do is to cut a small hole underneath so that you could attach a little fan under it (like the one found in the c.p.u. near the processor) then cut small fabric pieces in the shape of flames best if white and have a few orange L.E.D.'s under as well to to give it the flame look! You don't need to rate mine the best answer cos you've already promised it for another just let me know if you understood the explanation and tell me whether it worked I'd be more than grateful!!!
3. We used a jewelry sized cardboard box and made stone facing for it out of styrofoam. We cut an arch into the box so it projected from the wall of the room. We stained a piece of thin wood (like the kind Chinese fish cake comes on), routed the edges with a dremmel for the mantel. The "stones" were little pieces of styrofoam that we painted several shades of beige and gray, glued to the front of the fireplace box. We gathered twigs from the garden and put them inside the firebox we created. We created the hearth from the jewelry box lid gluing it to the floor of the model and covering it with the styrofoam rocks and placing the fireplace surround we created from the larger jewelry box on top of that.
