Architecture...Building designer?
I am unsure of a career right now and I am somewhat interested in designing buildings but NOT houses. What kind of career to go into and what major to take in college. I am interested in designing buildings like skyscrapers, or office buildings or other things but not into hoe designs. I don't think im interested in construction though What kind of career could i go into? What major to take in college? anything else about the job...

- Well, you can major in architecture. With a degree in architecture, you can go to work in an office that specializes in large structures. There are plenty of them out there. You may want to contact a few of them to express interest in the area and see if they can offer any advice. You can also try to intern in that type of office environment. Your best bet is moving to a large city, though. I know some universities offer master's degrees with specializations, such as structures or design. Both would fit well with designing large buildings. Just make sure you attend an accredited school.
- Well yes like Doodlebutt said you can major in architecture, although I must say Architecture is much more complex than designing pretty skyscrapers and very few architects ever get to the point of designing skyscrapers. And if you dont care about construction you will probably not like Architecture because you need to be well versed in construction in order to properly design window and structural components....etc Alot of people enter into architecture because they thinmk they will be designing skyscrapers and tall pretty buildings...they find out what it is really like and they usually revert back to an art or graphic design major.
