If you mean structural system of these buildings (for covering of roof of the wide span buildings) you can use plate girders, box girders, trusses, cable-stayed systems, some type of space structures such as barrel vaults, two layer grids, domes and etc. Information about space structures is available in the proceeding of the conferences held about space structures in UK (1987 & 1994 & 2001) and space structures research center (Surrey University, UK) and journal of space structures.
