When should I expect acceptance or denial to Cal Poly schools for Landscape Architecture?
I applied to Cal Poly SLO and Pomona for Landscape Architecture at the beginning/end of October (respectively). Is it normal for it to take this long (it is Jan. 23rd)? I know my major is competitive, but I am a transfer student with a 3.5 GPA and previous work experience in my major. Any ideas? I applied to Cal Poly SLO and Pomona for Landscape Architecture at the beginning/end of October (respectively). I haven't heard from either one and my online application status says it is still under review. Is it normal for it to take this long (it is Jan. 23rd)? - to tell you the truth when my son applied to both of these schools, SLO, denied him right away and Cal Poly Pomona has not said a word, my friends son was denied within a week when he applied to Cal Poly Pomona, so I would think you guys are looking good so far for Pomona!!!
- I am a Cal Poly SLO freshman this year. Last year, I applied in the middle of November (I think, it was before the deadline anyways). I got the acceptance e-mail to Cal Poly SLO March 1st (still have the e-mail, just looked it up). And yes, Architecture is extremely competitive, my major is Business, also very competitive. So anyways, my point is, don't expect to hear anything from SLO until March. Good Luck! If you have any other questions regarding Cal Poly SLO, I'd be happy to answer them, just send me a message.
- since you're a transfer student, wait another month (freshmen usually hear about their acceptance a month earlier than transfers). I just got accepted in landscape architecture 3 days ago for cal poly and I'm a freshman, so give a couple of weeks. And it is pretty normal to not hear from them for this long, because you did apply to an impacted major. And because you have a 3.5 GPA, I'm pretty sure you'll get in, so don't sweat it. Good luck :)
