1. There are many good schools across the country. You need to decide what program area you want to study (architecture and interior design are two different disciplines), what part of the country you want to live in, and how much you are willing to pay. There are schools like the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) and The Art Institute (AI) spread out around the country that offer Associate and Bachelor programs in Interior Design. There are also traditional colleges that offer Bachelor's and Master's degrees in both Architecture and Interior Design.
2. Well they are two very different things. Both may have different colleges. I know when my sister was looking into architecture she looked at Kansas State. They are supposed to be pretty good.
