I'm into architecture and interior design and know I want to be in this field. I think interior design is more up my ally than architecture. However, I know having a degree in arch will allow me to work as an interior design (but not vice versa) and is a much more professional career. I'm tired of explaining that interior designers are not decorators, but I absolutely love the work of an interior designer. I got into the University of Cincinnati for interior design- this is the number one school in the nation for int design. It puts me in a fantastic position & gives me great status to put on a resume. However, I also got into the architecture program at Ball State University. There they offer a minor in interior design- the best of both worlds. What do you think I should do if I'm leaning more towards int. design but want unlimited career opportunities? I know arch. gives me more flexibility, but is it smarter to go to such a special school as UC for i.d.? Or graduate with a minor ..in interior design with a bachelors in architecture? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
