  1. It's just watching an utter piece of crap turn into something amazing - did you see that castle the other week? One minute the wall fell down the next minute all the rules went out the window and it was just awesome.
  2. I love to see the end product - all linear, white and clean (mostly) with the two people who built it being the most out of place and scruffy looking thing in their own house! LOL
  3. i dont
  4. Maybe it's the hope that it will all go disastrously wrong? Some people have way too much money. And, yes. I'm jealous.
  5. Me and the hubby watch it. He loves it, I hate it. He's such a hypocrite that man! He starts off slagging the project and the owners off for wasting money, bad design etc etc then practically wets himself when the project is finished and goes on about how wonderful it is. Grrrr
  6. I wanna see if one of mine comes on
  7. like kevin mc cloud and also i can say thank god i didnt do that ,and what a nice home i have
  8. I have always liked that show, but not sure why? I agree that castle was something but the boat, what a waste
  9. Who says that we do watch such utter rubbish, I have better things to do with my time like spend it with my children.
  10. Just like to see the end product ..some of them are a bit impractical though..there is so much glass that it would take you days to clean it all..and some of the ceilings are so high that you would need a cherry picker to change the light bulbs
  11. It's car crash tv. Maybe it'll work and look great or maybe it'll go badly wrong and Kevin McCloud can say "I told you so" as they go off to the bankruptcy court.
  12. I love it, it's amazing watching a pile of rubble turn into a wonderful home. I agree, that castle was amazing and I loved the 21stC 'penthouse' bit on the top. All ancient buildings had additions each centuary so why not a modern one too? As for children, mine are in bed by 9pm thank you very much - it's grown up's time in my house by then!!
  13. I'm still waiting for the underwater one.
  14. Love watching this programme. Where do they get the vision from? I was in trauma having a conservatory built. The owner of the company told me they knew what they were doing, and I didnt need to be project manager. I was ringing up, because I was worried the electrician wouldnt arrive before the plasterer, or they had delivered the wrong bricks. ( I was correct about that). It took two very long weeks. How these people cope with the stress and money worrries for months, and in some cases years, I really dont know. I agree the castle was spectacular, and the boat was a carbuncle.
  15. I LOVE TO WATCH ANY PROGRAMME THAT SHOWS YOU A BEFORE AND AN AFTER - GRAND DESIGNS, WHAT NOT TO WEAR, THAT ONE WHERE THEY ASK HOW OLD THE WOMAN LOOKS AND THEN THEY TOTALLY CHANGE HER....SORRY CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT'S CALLED....I'VE HAD A BOTTLE OF WINE, BUT YES I LOVE THOSE PROGRAMMES
  16. Grand Design is a great programme and I dont think they are all rich if truth was known maxed to the hilt on credit cards and loans ect I would imagine they get a bit from the show to help out too. Hated the boat one it was a bad idea from start to finish and they had no clue what they were doing.Loved the castle but they spoilt it with their floor as you walked in. I just enjoy the challange they face and the outcome money has knothing to do with it.
  17. The bad money management is kind of funny same with Property Ladder. But I do watch it for the Interior design and Architecture and Kevin McCloud is slightly attractive in a wrong way.
