- Interior arch is the planing of how inside the home looks, like walls, doorway archs, ceiling panels, etc. Interior design is selecting furniture and paint for the house.
- Interior Architecture is what it sounds like. An architect designs the exterior of a building, and interior architecture designs the interior layout of a building, home, office, etc. It can be an entire building (like a restaurant), or a portion of a building (an office space within an office building), or even specialties, like a museum exhibit, a tradeshow booth, etc. You deal a lot with spacial awareness, flow of consumers/users, and many other concerns that need to be addressed. It can also be called Interior Design, but most people assume that Interior Design is decorating. What most people consider interior design to be is actually interior decorating. This can be a wide variety of things, such as furniture selection, fabric selection, paint colors, flooring, etc. Interior Architecture deals with this also, but it's more as a final step instead of the main product. This is usually dealt more with individual homeowners, whereas interior architecture is usually more with commercial businesses. There's a big difference between the two, but most people don't realize this. It's a tough stereotype to break out of, but I hope this helps to clarify.
