are there many jobs for landscape architects?
i think im going to study landscape architecture in college mabye at philadelphia u. is this a good idea? are there many job opportunities for me after college or should i study something else?

- You should check it out on Salary.com. You can search for the occupation by geographic location and it also gives you an outlook on the profession (i.e. is it growing/declining, etc.)
- As a 20 year practitioner in San Diego, landscape architecture is a rewarding profession. Just don't expect to make a lot of money right away. A good LA is a jack-of-all-trades master of none. My classmates work for municipalities, park & rec depatments, teach at universities, are comercial/residentail developers and like me work for design firms. There are a lot of opportunities in growth markets like Texas/Colorado, Pac. Northwest and California and Arizona Lots of job opportunities in both public sector and private practice.
