Has anyone ever used the dating personal section of Craigslist?
I am a 19 year old country boy, tall and thin, not bad looking, get straight A's in college as an architecture major. I work at least 5 or 6 days a week at my job and then do landscaping work on the side. I am a strong Christian, and have never drank or smoked. My problem is I have never had a girlfriend, I have always wanted one but I have never been able to find a girl who had similar interest, farm life, country music, basketball, family values, and Christian faith. I am thinking about posting an ad on our local craigslist, but didn't know if anybody had ever used this sight for that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks I just don't know how or where to meet girls that I would be compatible with, since I don't go to bars or clubs or anything like that. Located in Southern Illinois. I have never used Myspace, Facebook, or any other friend site like that, so I don't really know how to do those kind of things. I always prefered to just see or talk to my friends.

- wow you sound like a great guy! i'm also 19- almost 20 (august) i'm 5'2". i'm a film major- a sophomore in college and i'm a christian. i've never drank or smoked. i like country music but i've never been on a farm.. i wouldn't throw yourself out there.. i know God has a plan for everyone.. it is mainly just the whole patience thing that gets to people. God's timing is always right.. even if it's not the timing we want.. you can facebook me or im me.. do as God instructs you and when he knows you're ready he'll place a girl in your life. in the mean time hang out with some friends.. get to know people.. it can't hurt.. maybe you'll find her there.i i have a facebook group called ''dear steph:" that you can join and i'll friend you. hope all goes well! - Laelia makes a great point. If you are a devoted Christian then you should go to one of those dating sites. Why waste time sifting through girls who may not have your same interests when there are sites out there geared specifically towards what you're looking for? There are literally dating sites for cowboys ... farmers ... Christians (even specific fatihs) ... you name it - it's out there. You may have to pay, but you're working and young and should be able to afford that. Usually pay sites get better quality people than "free" sites like Craigslist because people willing to pay are more serious and dedicated to finding the right one. Just search these sites on google under "christian dating sites" but be sure to check them out and make sure they're legit because many claim to be Christian, but are not. You are still young ... don't be too anxious. God will put the right person on your path eventually. Just have faith and keep yourself open to meeting new people by getting involved in the things you like to do (so you'll meet others who like what you like) and smile and be positive. People are attracted to those attributes so hang in there. You sound like a good guy with a lot going for you ... and you have your whole life ahead of you! Peace to you ... ==================
